Beauty Review: The Tangle Teezer
I am plagued by unmanageable hair and have been all through my life, not only is it fine but also very thick with a natural curl which leads to nightmare tangles. Tangles that at times have become all-out knots. There was once one so stubborn that I actually had to cut it out.
Since having a baby my tangle prone hair has become a hundred times worse, turns out all those hormones that make it so lustrous during pregnancy can leave it in rather a sorry state once the baby arrives. My hair hasn’t so much been tangled, rather matted. Getting my hairbrush through a section was taking a good ten minutes, causing a lot of pain and many swear words to fall from my mouth. It was so bad that I was seriously considering the drastic measure of having a crop. That was until I gave a Tangle Teezer a go.
When it comes to products aimed at detangling, de-frizzing and smoothing I have tried them all and nothing comes close to this hairbrush. Its neat design – which is compact enough to slip into your handbag – nestles into the palm of your hand allowing a smooth, flowing action as you brush. It can be used on wet or dry hair and works equally well on both. The short, thin spokes move easily through the hair leaving it soft and smooth in no time at all. It sorted my hair out in a fraction of the time it took with my regular hairbrush with minimal hair loss, absolutely no pain or need for profanity. Since using this brush my hair hasn’t knotted once!
I bought mine from Boots at £10.99 which is more than I would normally pay for a brush but it was definitely a worthy investment. I don’t think I’ll be going back to a regular brush and can’t recommend this product enough.
