Yankee Candle: Midnight Jasmine

Yankee Candle, The Body Shop, Tea,

I’m openly admitting it right now – I have a complete obsession with Yankee Candles (doesn’t everyone?) and I’ve been sleeping really badly of late, so I decided it was the perfect excuse to treat myself.

I got some new bedclothes (this cute black and white Audrey Print set from Tesco) and picked up my very first Yankee Candle. I’m not a huge lover of lavender – although it has its place – but I have a complete adoration for the smell of jasmine. It reminds me of Summer evenings. I picked this small jar of Midnight Jasmine up for a song at Clinton Cards (yes you read that right), which is a soft blend of water jasmine, sweet honeysuckle, neroli, and mandarin blossom.

The Body Shop, Linen spray, Jasmine, White Frangipani

I also was doing a bit of a Body Shop top-up (Body Butters anyone?) and spotted this Jasmine & White Frangipani body, room and linen spritz (£7). How could I resist!?

So when I’m getting ready for bed, I light my Yankee Candle and spritz a bit of the Jasmine & White Frangipani on my pillow.

Yankee Candle, Scent, Midnight Jasmine

I’ve never slept so well! My room smells of holidays, I feel totally calm, and I drift off to the land of nod without a second thought.

There is one slight problem though… I now need MORE Yankee Candles…

I actually picked up the Turquoise Sky candle for Little Sis (she was lucky she got it if I’m honest). Turquoise Sky is described as “calm, salty air with hints of sea grass and musk, float gently on ocean waves… off on an adventure beneath a bright blue sky.” It’s a fresh, uplifting scent that warms up these frosty mornings, perfect for the living room and getting ready for the day.

You can also pick up a selection of Christmas scents – my favourites are the ginger, cinnamon and vanilla blend in Vanilla Chai, “watery leaf notes, warm amber and crisp, brisk air” that makes November Rain, and the pine, balsam, and hollyberry of Christmas Wreath is pretty spectacular.

There’s a Yankee Candle for every occasion, and that’s far too tempting for me. I think I’m going to have to avoid Clinton Cards for a while. (Honestly – Clinton Cards of all places!)
