Burberry Prorsum SS’14
I always adore Burberry Prorsum – their collections are quintessentially British, with sharp and cutting edge progressive touches. For Spring/Summer 2014 Christopher Bailey has really had fun, though it’s less aggressive and more playful this time around. The pre-collection was muted tones of navy, moss green, black and crisp white with clever cut-outs, whilst the Ready-to-Wear collection was brimming with polka dots and stripes, macaroon pastels, cashmere and fist-sized brooches. The mac coats were warmed lilac and waists cinched, and bags clutched in one fist, thick with texture and brighter colours.
Burberry have a clever way of leading the way with new trends, so it’s with bated breath that we watch the runway, certain that the star-studded show is going to tell us exactly what we’ll be wearing. And now I want it all!
