Beauty Review: Sanctuary Exfoliating Pore Refiner
I’m constantly on the lookout for a decent exfoliator. My skin isn’t great, and I find it often reacts badly to anything too severe. I was given a gift set of Sanctuary goodies a while ago and found that their Radiance Exfoliator (RRP £10.20 for a full size bottle) was gentle enough to work. It exfoliated perfectly, but there wasn’t so much radiance as just slightly smoother skin – it wasn’t outstanding. When the little travel-size bottle was over, I thought I’d try another Sanctuary exfoliator (I quite like Sanctuary products as a rule).
This time I picked up the Exfoliating Pore Refiner (£10.29). It’s a creamy exfoliator that is equally as gentle on my skin as its radiance-enhancing partner. It is described as a “complexion-perfecting facial scrub for congested skin” – filled to the brim with eco-particles to clear out blocked pores and Witch Hazel to reduce their appearance. Its salicylic acid protects against bacteria to prevent more blemishes and seaweed balances out oil levels. All in all – it does exactly what it should… on paper.
In reality? It smoothes my skin much like the Radiance Exfoliator, but the difference is that my skin feels fresher – it doesn’t feel as stretched or dried-out, and my pores do look a little smaller. Perhaps a bit longer at it and my skin will look perfect!
