Cocktail Bar: Sea Breeze

If it’s not gin, it’s vodka. Most of my cocktails are based on these two spirits purely because a) they are delicious and, b) are generally in my cupboard. This week, we’re creating a vodka-based drink called a Sea Breeze. It’s dead simple, lovely and refreshing, with a little tang just right for warm nights.

Sea Breeze, Cocktail, Alcohol, Vodka, Grapefruit juice, Cranberry juice

You will need:

  • Tall glass
  • Crushed ice (my ice crusher broke so I just went overboard with ice cubes instead)
  • Lime wedge to garnish

Ingredients:

  • 50ml vodka
  • 75ml cranberry juice
  • 75ml grapefruit juice

How to make it:

Over the crushed ice, pour the cranberry juice, grapefruit juice and vodka and stir well. Squeeze a tiny bit of the lime over the rim of the glass and garnish. It’s a sharp cocktail thanks to the grapefruit juice, but the cranberry juice takes the bitterness out of it. It’s most definitely refreshing!
