Cocktail Bar: Tiger Juice

Friday 18 April 2014 by

I’ve decided to step away from the gin and vodka cocktails this week, and make something a little bit different – Tiger juice. If I’m honest, I picked it for the name, but this is a whisky-based cocktail, which means it has a hell of a lot of zing – something all cocktails should have in my opinion. Although tempered out by orange juice, this is one you should approach with caution!

Orange juice, Bourbon whisky, Lemon, Tiger Juice, Cocktail, Alcohol

You will need:

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Ice
  • Martini glass

Tiger Juice, Cocktail, Alcohol

  • 45ml whisky (if you can afford it, use Bourbon)
  • 15ml lemon juice
  • 30ml orange juice

Tiger Juice, Cocktail, Alcohol

How to make it:

Pour all your ingredients in to the cocktail shaker over ice. Shake well, then pour into a chilled martini glass (leave the glass in the fridge for 20-30 minutes to get it right, or fill it with ice cubes for a couple of minutes before making the cocktail and then simply throw them out when you’re ready). You shouldn’t need to garnish this cocktail, but if you feel so inclined, add a slice of orange or curl of orange peel (slightly toasted).  This is a warming, delicious cocktail that is fast becoming a favourite of mine!
