Today I’m Wearing: Aztec midi skirt

Thursday 28 August 2014 by

This skirt is one of my absolute favourite skirts of all time (for now). I picked up this black and red Aztec midi pencil skirt from New Look on a whim because I liked the colour, and was surprised at how good it looked.

I love the way the pattern gives me shape. I was originally worried about the midi-length, but it does okay. I’m wearing it with New Look black cut out panel buckle boots and a black vest top (I switch to a three-quarter sleeve black top when it gets too cold); and my Warehouse long line faux leather biker jacket. I often accessorise this outfit with the Topshop black pork pie hat and winged zip detail handbag.

It equally works with some little flats or even stilettoes for a smarter take, but I like the way these boots grunge it up. I’ve worn this on and off all year (though it was ditched in the warmer days), and I never feel like it’s gone out of style. It’s particularly comfortable, and have worn it on the odd night out as well!
