Hold me, because I’m in love.

When I saw Oriflame at the #BloggersFestival I was overjoyed – this is a brand I have always admired, and with their revamped ranges, one I have recently been dying to try. First on the list to try was their The ONE Eye Liner Stylo, £8.45. It comes in four shades (including a gorgeous deep green that is perfect for autumn/winter), and I got to try the black one.

Normally, I use the Maybelline gel liner with the little stiff brush, and that’s suited me fine because it gets a precision flick, but it does often fall into the trap of too much gel on the brush, and then it smears. The Stylo, on the other hand, is a thin-tipped pen. This means it has pinpoint accuracy, delivers just enough colour, and is dead easy to build up from a thin line at the lash to a big sixties cat-eye flick.

Did I say I was in love!?

Most pen liners I’ve had have rapidly dried out (MAC, I’m looking at you – for shame) which means you get a strange grey smudge rather than any good colour. I’ve been using the Stylo every day since I got it (not long after the #bloggersfestival) and it has never once faded or let me down. Plus, it goes one better than that: superhuman staying power. No matter how much the rest of my make-up slip-slides off my face as the day goes on, the Stylo stays put. No smudging, no fading, not even those weird little smears at the corner of your eye when you blink too much. This does mean it takes patience to remove at night (pick up a bottle of Nivea eye make-up remover – it does wonders), but it’s totally worth it for a flawless eye in the day! The only down side, if there was one, is that to get a really deep black colour, you do have to build it up a bit.

For £8.45, it’s perhaps a bit more than you would normally pay on the highstreet for a standard eyeliner, but I cannot tell you how much this is worth that extra couple of quid! I never have to fear panda eyes again.
