Nails: Ciaté Dangerous Affair

Ciaté, Dangerous Affair, Nails, Nail enamel, Nail paint, NOTD

In the absence of a good oxblood red, I have dug out this richly hued Ciaté nail enamel in Dangerous Affair (£9). Dark, autumnal colours tend to suit short nails (I got rid of the false nails to let my own recover for a while) and red is the natural go-to nail colour as it suits anything. I like the depth of this red, bright enough to stand out, but dark enough to be a sober, autumnal shade. Plus, Ciaté are a pretty good brand, with little to no chipping (and for £9 a pop you would hope so too)! The bottles are so cute, with little bows on each, and I love the curved shape. The brush itself is not the best I’ve come across (Rimmel still win), but the colour is good enough that you only need a couple of layers at most to get decent coverage. In fact, I had forgotten just how much I loved this polish (it lingered at the bottom of the box for a while), and I think it’s going to be a AW’14 regular. I just wish Ciaté polishes were cheaper so I could add to my collection!
