Beauty Review: Charles Worthington Strength & Repair Shampoo

Shampoo, Haircare, Charles Worthington, Beauty

Due to stress and various conditions, my hair has been a bit weak lately, and I thought it could do with some TLC. I’ve always been a big fan of Charles Worthington products (their volume-boosting shampoo is magic). So when I spotted their strength and repair shampoo, £5.99 from Boots, I couldn’t resist giving it a go. With the added Argan oil, it promises to smooth the cuticles and strengthen the hair against breakage.

The smell is sweet and not hugely chemical, which is a plus in my books. The creamy texture rubs in easily and washes out without leaving behind any oily residue. Hair feels clean and nourished. As for strengthening and conditioning; my hair is certainly smoother, but it doesn’t seem to have strengthened much in the couple of weeks that I’ve been using it. For fine hair, it feels quite heavy, which isn’t good if you want bouncy, lustrous locks. But things take a while to take effect, and it smells so delicious (and gives my hair so much shine), that I can’t quite give it up just yet. After all, my hair is looking healthier, even if it is still breaking!

I’m going to mix it up with their volumising shampoo an hope for the best…
