I was very lucky to win tickets from Red magazine for the Body Shop’s Feel Good and Go Power breakfast. Which meant that at 7.30am on Thursday morning, CK and I traipsed to Leicester Square for smoothies, croissants and lots of beautiful Body Shop goodies. From massage chairs to skincare advice and makeovers, we were treated to the best that Body Shop has to offer.

The breakfast was to celebrate not only the launch of their #BeautyTruths campaign but also some of their summer products, including new additions to their vitamin C range. We were able to chat to skincare experts and play with some of the products before a short talk from life coach Jacqueline Hurst.

In honour of the #BeautyTruths campaign, Jacqueline talked about confidence and beauty – how self-esteem and mindfulness feeds in to beauty. She talked about how self-esteem is a choice: that you have to permit yourself to like yourself. And then she talked about how, by liking yourself, that feeds in to beauty, in whatever form.

It was a great talk, inspiring and mood-boosting. But in the end, it was all about the new products! We got to try out the new Fuji green tea range, the new addition to the camomile and vitamin C ranges, and then have huge amounts of fun with their new serums and oils and overnight face mask! After that it was the turn of their new blur and prime range (silky smooth skin as a base for your make-up!) and bronzers and highlighters for glowing summer skin.

Highlights for me were the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil and the Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask and my next stop will be to pick up my own pots! I love Body Shop skincare, thanks to its gentle nature and perfect balance for oily skin, it is a failsafe option. Plus, it always smells divine!

The breakfast was amazing – delicious smoothies, lovely products, and even getting to meet Aisling of Rosy Smiles! What a fabulous way to spend Thursday morning.
