The further I run, the more I need to fill my body with the right things. That’s why this week, we’re looking at the perfect post-workout smoothie. Filled with fresh ingredients, it’s an intense hit of nutrients to replace everything that’s been lost. With thanks to Rosemary Ferguson for this muscle-repairing, nutrient-replacing smoothie!

You will need:

  • Blender
  • Knife

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 10 blueberries
  • 5 strawberries
  • 1 tsp sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp flaxseeds
  • 1 tsp spirulina
  • 375ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp maca powder

How to make it:

Throw all the ingredients in to the blender and whizz up until smooth! Banana and berries are always a winning combination. The added maca powder, spirulina and flaxseeds replace everything your body needs for a quick and healthy recovery from you workout. Whizz it up beforehand and keep it in the fridge for an ice cold treat.
