    Hello there,

    How are you?

I am contacting you from Forever PR on behalf of our new client The Ship Tavern in Holborn, one of London’s oldest pubs, holding a deep connection to the city’s identity. With sightings of ghosts and rumours of Shakespeare, this tavern holds over 500 historical years of London’s haunting past- dating back to the despotic reign of Henry VIII.

I came across this fantastic blog entry, and I just wanted to see if you might possibly be interested in featuring the Ship Tavern coming up to Halloween? I think it would be a perfect venue to feature as it is a nearby traditional drinking spot with a wealth of history and spooky stories. I have included some more details below. Do you possibly have an e-mail address so I could attach a press release also if you are interested?

Remaining a cultural landmark in Holborn with intangible heritage, The Ship Tavern is a grand example of a traditional Englishman’s pub. Round the corner from Holborn tube station, hidden away in a little alley way called Gate Street, the tavern is now run by the Evans family (since 2001) who have been part of the West Ends pub scene for four generations. Fourth generation, great grandson Ross Evans has been handed the baton and with the new Head Chef by his side. Together they have turned the first floor oak room into a gorgeous classic example of the warmth and charm you seek when wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. Surrounded by antique paintings, books and trinkets; adorn the candle draped mahogany walls, a crackling open fire for those chilly winter evenings, and cosy private dining booths which create the perfect ‘Dickensian style’ dining environment. Boasting six ‘Cask Marque’ accredited real ales, a selection of over 50 gins from the gin cabinet and a comprehensive wine list (created with their friends at Bibendum).

We also have a spooky Halloween party coming up where the pub’s dark wooden walls will be draped in candlelight; an eerie Dickens styled soiree that us not to be missed- we would love to invite you along to the experience!

Please feel free to contact me for any further information.

    Kind regards,
    Millie x
