5 Key Trends for Spring

Tuesday 12 April 2016 by

I always like spotting the new trends each season. London Fashion Week is usually a good start, but here are my top five favourite highstreet trends for this Spring…

Bomber jackets

Choose the ultimate smart-casual look with a bomber jacket. Think the modern Pink Lady. Choose a smart pencil dress and cover up with a well-fitted bomber for those post-work drinks.

Off-the-shoulder tops

If you’re going to get anything, get something off-the-shoulder. Whether it be a cute summer dress, or simply a peasant-style blouse. My favourites are the fitted tops – wear tucked in to jeans for a casual Saturday look.

Crop trousers

These are the ideal addition for workwear. Wear with heels for an extra smart look. I prefer the wide leg style, like culottes, in simple colours, although River Island do some really beautiful floral patterns.

Tie-up sandals

The tie-up style is creeping in everywhere. Step away from the little flats that tie up and try the tie-up sandal. You might be there for a while, but they are so comfy. Check out some different ways to tie them online for multiple looks.

ASOS, Fashion, Highstreet, Today I'm Wearing

Ruffled blouses

This is a slightly harder trend to pull off if you’re bigger busted, but I think I’ve cracked it with this low-cut top from ASOS. Ruffles are really everywhere right now so time to get on board. Wear this with a pencil skirt and you’ll be set.
