From 20th April to 1st May, LOCO London Comedy Film Festival is coming again to BFI Southbank. This not-for-profit champions comedy filmmaking and brings the best and brightest to London screens. This year they have a great line-up. Check out my picks for this year’s LOCO London Comedy Film Festival

Big Shorts, 25th April

Partnered with the London Short Film Festival, this is a collection of the best of British short films. This includes Anthony from Jonathan Van Tulleken, If the Cuckoo Don’t Crow from Steve Kirby and Oh-Be-Joyful from Susan Jacobson.

Burn Burn Burn, 23rd April

With a special preview and Q&A, LOCO are showing this heartwarming British roadtrip tale, directed by Chanya Button. Seph and Alex have been tasked with scattering their friend’s ashes in a certain place; but he has also recorded videos for every step of the way.

Guardians of the Galaxy, 26th April

It’s got to be Guardians of the Galaxy, right? This fantastic comedy from Marvel was the surprise hit of 2014. This promises a joyous evening out, so grab tickets fast.

Nous Trois Ou Rien, 28th April and 1st May

This French film tells the remarkable life of an Iranian dissident, as narrated by his son. There is a Q&A with the April showing, but if you miss out, there will be a second showing (no Q&A) on the 1st May if you miss out.

Set the Thames on Fire, 21st April

Set in a future London that is flooded, two friends seek to escape the tyrant The Impresario. Dark and twisted, co-starring Noel Fielding, this has a Q&A session with director Ben Charles Edwards and the cast.
