5 Key Trends for AW16

Ahead of the madness that is London Fashion Week (starting today), I’ve decided to look at five key trends of AW’16 that we spotted back in February. Wrap up warm, the new season is coming…

Céline, Fashion, Catwalk, AW16, Shearling

Perfect for battling the colder months, wrap up in stylish shearling. Try some trimming if you don’t want to go all out, but use Céline as inspiration and go all out with a coat.

Burberry, Fashion, AW16, Catwalk, Military

There is nothing you can do to change my mind – military is my autumn/winter styling again and again. Tailoring is key with this one – make sure it’s spot on, and use khaki tones and big buttons and buckles to finish the look. Burberry is the king when it comes to military.

Stella McCartney, Fashion, Catwalk, AW16, Earrings

Jumbo earrings

Remember that trend to wear huge earrings? Well, it’s back with a bang. Go bold with metallic or acrylic, like Stella McCartney, but whatever you want to do, make sure you make a statement.

Givenchy, Fashion, Catwalk, AW16, Waists

Accentuated waists

Make like Givenchy and accentuate your waist. This is a simple trend that makes any outfit look complete. Be careful with your tailoring, and accentuated waists will become second nature!

Isabel Marant, AW16, Fashion, Catwalk, Heritage, Tweed

Update the heritage look with more modern additions (the Eighties was a popular trend to combine on the catwalk). Tweeds and Prince of Wales checks are still essential though, so make sure you mix up the looks, much like Isabel Marant.
